Not sure if this has been mentioned, but here is something I saw from IBM on testing your backups. As I recall this was announced mid November 2005. They charge by the GB from $1500 for 0-250GB to $3300 for 4.51TB-5TB. U.S.: New, improved iSeries system restore test Announcing an enhancement to the iSeries(TM) system restore test--the amount of backup data has been increased from 1TB to up to 5TB. Have you ever tested the restoration of your entire iSeries system? If not, IBM can do it for you. The amount of backup data can take up to 5TB of disk space. All you have to do is send us your backup tapes containing your complete iSeries system save, and we will do the rest.
