I don't think they've written support for charts into HSSF yet. The underlying records are loaded into POI, but I don't think the HSSF classes understand them yet.

Has anyone used the POI classes to add charts to an Excel spreadsheet? Thanks to Scott Klement's articles in iSeriesNews, I have successfully used the classes to create spreadsheets, set cell styles, font styles, etc., but now I want to also create a chart using the data on the spreadsheet. Any help would be appreciated. -- This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
