Start with a DATE Data Type on the iSeries and then select Convert CCSID 65535 in the properties for the .dtf Seems to work for me - at least the spreadsheet has the date formatting in there when I open it. At the moment, I'm having to do Format -> Cell in Excel to get it to recognise them as dates.
