RE: HMC & remote console

You telnet to the HMC on port 2300.  Once connected you're prompted to
select your language (21 for en_US).  Then you enter your HMC
credentials (hscroot or whatever).  Then select the machine you want
from the menu.  Finally, you can select the LPAR and connection mode
(dedicated/shared or just show details).  Want consoles on more LPARs?
Run more telnets to the HMC.  I've done up to 3 concurrent so far, but
then I've not had a need for more as I've only a total of 5 LPARs across
our two i5. 

And I've done it using both iSeries Access/PC5250 and Mochasoft so it
doesn't appear you need anything special on the client side.

I haven't tried it from my Treo just yet, but I suspect it'll work fine.
