Ron, Well, we have all the PTF's there are already applied. Nothing else of use in the job log, here's an example of one of the errors: Message ID . . . . . . : FAXC708 Severity . . . . . . . : 20 Message type . . . . . : Completion Date sent . . . . . . : 11/30/05 Time sent . . . . . . : 09:11:29 Message . . . . : A fax communications failure occurred while processing SNDFAX request to telephone number 14402459669. Cause . . . . . : While attempting to send spooled file OE526RT number 000002 from job 024961/BARRYS/CLW04E2 to telephone number 14402459669, a fax communications failure occurred. Recovery . . . : Retry the SNDFAX request at a later time. Before the error occurred 00001 pages were sent. The Fax Adapter/Modem return codes are X'FFFE' X'00E0' X'0000'. Technical description . . . . . . . . : Fax controller module I.D. is X'F4000011'. The external modem is doing fine (maybe 50-70 seconds per page on the same faxes, which do have overlays) - if the issue was with the memory allocated to the fax subsystem wouldn't we still have issues with the external modem? The times for faxing from the internal modems are poor, even locally. We're using the same phone line that was connected to the internal modem now moved to the external, and the times are far quicker (and NO fcall ailures so far with the external modem - we were geting call failures maybe 15-20% of the time with the internal modems). ...Neil --- Ron Adams <rondadams@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: > We have a 520 running FAX400 with the 4-port > internal modem and have seen > this problem. > Our average times are about 30-45 seconds per call > with 1-2 pages. > The only time we see high fax times or call duration > is for large faxes. > > Are you sending complex AFP documents?
