Re: Open Source Office

I am pleased to see so many positive responses to using Open Office! I dual boot Windows and Suse Linux (10.0) on my notebook and have been spending increasing time in Suse lately. Using Open Office as well as Firefox (browser), Thunderbird (e-mail client), Sunbird (Calendar) and Eclipse make living in both partitions pretty easy. One of the better things about Open Office (2.0) is a more intuitive ODBC (JDBC) connection data source scheme that makes working with iSeries data easier (again from both WinXP and Suse). That integration plus some improving scripting capabilities make Open Office my default office suite. I occasionally have to use an M$ Office app but it has become very rare. I don't see any need to upgrade to any MS Office version, now or in the future.
