Here is a flaw in our thinking... So few of us can actually call this our
~i~Series. We still call it an AS/400. So another name change would still
only be one - you would have to stop calling it an AS/400 and start calling
it whatever is next.
However, my prediction is that it will STILL be an ~i~series, since they
are
marketing the ~i~ brand so well!
Now, if we can get everybody who calls it an AS/400 to start calling it an
iSeries, we may be able to remove this stigma about "old" or "outdated"
technology. Yes, the AS/400 is out of date, but the iSeries is the LATEST
technology and the successor to the iSeries.
So, here is the challenge. If WE - the faithful - can stop saying AS/400,
maybe WE can turn the tide against the AS/400 bigots.
The iSeries - not your grandfather's AS/400!
