Don't know about disabling the X, but you might try this.

Go to the Edit|Preferences|Exit... menu
Check the checkbox next to "Confirm an Exit Session"
Click "OK" to save the change.

Now if you click on the X, you'll get a dialog box asking you to confirm
that "This will end the session." It doesn't prevent the user from clicking
OK and ending the session, but it should help guard against accidents.

Hope this helps!
Richard

Subject: Disabling X in iSeries Access Emulator?

Hi All,

About 50% of our help desk calls are generated or related to someone
accidently (so they say) closing the Emulator with the X in the title bar
without first exiting the applixation they were in properly. This leaves
locked customer records, hung accounting sessions, etc....

If there a way to disable the X unless the user is on the sign in screen??

Seems like a common sense option to me.

Thanks!
