Any solution Linux, AS400, Mac, windos, etc. will requiere at least that 
you understand the configuration of a mail server.  You can install and 
set up a Linux server if you just nkow what to fill when it ask about 
domain, gateway firewall, etc.  You don't need to be an expert, but it 
may be usefull to have a kiddy to help.
