There might be something in it, but as this is a one-off you could well be better off with UPDHST(*NO) in any case. Your object backup info would then point into your regular backup tapes rather than the special one. Unless for some reason you particularly want the history updated to show the one-off tape you have nothing to lose and possibly something to gain by specifying UPDHST(*NO).
