To use the omit options you would need to submit the command with the
"Prompt for Commands" option selected with a 'Y'. This will cause the
Option 21 save to stop at each individual save step (ENDSBS, SAVSYS,
SAVLIB, SAVDLO, SAV, start controlling subsystem) and allow you to select
options for that step.

If the libraries you want to omit don't take too much extra time to save
and you can afford that time without a great deal of impact, it would be a
much simpler save procedure and an even simpler RESTORE in the event that
you have trouble that causes a restore. Simplicity when doing upgrades and
migrations goes a loooong way in my book. You'll know what your save
window is, though... just my $.02.

Hi,

I have to do an option 21 savsys tonight before a hardware shutdown
and move on Friday. There are some data libraries

we back up every night and therefore don't need to include in the save. I
know there's a way to omit libraries from this

backup and you do it by prompting it somehow, but for the life of me I
can't
remember the how to sequence.

Can anyone help me out?

TIA,

Cherie
