How do the engineers at IBM slow the system down? Is it just a slow clock on the motherboard that can possibly be replaced with a faster one? Is there a version of CFINT running continuously on the system that does not show up in WRKSYSACT? Would be interesting to know what are the hardware differences between the pSeries 520 express and the iSeries. What is it that prevents i5/OS from running on the non geared down pSeries? The redbook on the subject says it will only run on large, expensive pSeries models, and there is an iSeries specific feature that has to be added. Not sure if the feature is hardware or software. -Steve
