My first thought is that he didn't actually compile the source on your machine. Second, he has something in the code or the way he compiled it to be looking for the QSYS2924 library.

This is one reason the issue of outsourcing has been such a hot topic in the last year. How much time and effort do we waste fixing problems the outsourcing causes and is it really worth the cost.
