QtmmSendMail API question -- MIDRANGE-L

Correct me if I'm wrong:

It's my understanding that the QtmmSendMail API will onlytalk to a mail server running on the same machine as theAPI itself (or at the very least, running on an AS/400).


Am I mistaken in this?
