Greyed out would have clued us in to our problem alot quicker... ours didn't show in the GUI at all! We've had a few instances where the GUI interface to the DNS zones doesn't show all the listings that are in the actual text files that drive the server. It seems that sometimes there are 'ghost' records that get left in the files and queries will still resolve using those records. We needed to remove them manually from the actual zone file because they didn't show in the GUI. Not sure how common this is...
