I'm not trying to be argumentative, but I'm not sure exactly what that list is, Mike. It looks like a typical list of technologies that Microsoft has adapted for their own purposes. For example, Microsoft had little to do with the invention of Bayesian filters or their initial implementation for email filtering. In fact, it took them many years to actually implement the techniques in Outlook. At the same time, they DID attempt to patent said implementation even though it was largely based on open source efforts predating the Microsoft's invovlement. This is another Microsoft technique: steal^H^H^H^H^Hadapt and patent.
