We are getting a strange error when we try to FTP a save file to a customer using a batch FTP script. If i use interactive FTP. I am able to log in fine using the same user id and password. I cannot figure out what i am missing or if there is something else i need to setup at on the FTP configuration to allow this Here is the error log Output redirected to a file. Input read from specified override file. Connecting to remote host 10.110.XXX.X using port 21. 220-QTCP at XXXXXXXX.com 220 Connection will close if idle more than 5 minutes. Enter an FTP subcommand. > USER APPUSER ******** 331 Enter password. 530 Log on attempt by user APPUSER rejected. After doing some research on some IBM documentation, i came across this in one of the IBM cover letters for V5R3M0. I have verified that the job description and the user is authorized to the libraries in the job description. When trying to log in to your FTP server on your IBM(r) eServer™ i5 at V5R3M0, one of the following messages may be issued: o 530 Log on attempt by user XXXXXXXX rejected. Login failed. o 530 Not able to set ASP group for user XXXXXXXX. Logon rejected. These messages are typically caused by one or both of the following: o The job description specified in user profile XXXXXXXX is not a valid job description (for example, wrong library, spelled incorrectly, and so on). o User XXXXXXXX does not have authority to one or more of the libraries in the job description's library list. Correct these issues, and the user will again be able to log in successfully to the FTP server. -- Krish Thirumalai
