Not that it puts the iSeries in the same category as Windows, but not all
code from System/38 and AS/400 can be executed on a current iSeries.  Any
code created without observability on a CISC system cannot be executed on a
current iSeries without being recompiled.  So if one has either lost the
source from back then or the vendor disappeared, one is out of luck.
