I agree. Not just versatile, but fun. I built one application that graphed iSeries information to show the results over time for a particular activity. The department manager looked at it and told me the graph was way off. We checked. It was accurate. She's just never seen the data that way. A month later she stopped by to thank me Apparently she showed her boss what her results had been over the last two years and she got a substantial raise. Could the graph have been done with Excel? Probably. Not by me, but perhaps by someone else. However I did do it, with RPG. The result is fast current, and accurate.
