Hi, Phil: As I recall, QUSRTOOLS TAATOOLs had a CPYFRMTAP and CPYTOTAP that let you do this with only one tape drive ... but it only works on a file-by-file basis ... during a SAVLIB, for example, each library is saved as a separate file on the tape, so they can be restored individually... you can skip over individual files and thus skip over certain libraries, but to get down to the object level, you would have to restore the entire library, then delete the objects you don't want, then save it again, or some similar gyrations ... Is there a way to do this, or must I restore what I want, clear the tape, and save? > > TIA, > Phil > > -- > This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list > To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx > To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, > visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/midrange-l > or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx > Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives > at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l. >
