>one of these days, they're going to setup a server that's a lab server, >give each attendee a unique id/pw, IP addr, a CD of required software with >30 license and let us hammer at labs from our rooms or over the >inhouse/conf net. And they'll setup helpdesk/coaches at set rooms/times >for us to goto for help... This should save alot of space, give alot more >session/lab flexibility and give attendees access to more than the usual >schedule would allow... > >Don in DC Great idea, Don, and I already do that for my lab. (Preparing for the IBM Operations and System Administration Competency Exam). In addition to loading courses on the lab server, I create a temporary profile on our own web server and allow COMMON attendees to take Manta courses for free during the week. That way, I can fill every seat in the lab and let the overflow crowd go back to their hotel rooms to receive the same experience. The problem is that the response has been so good that I'm causing bandwidth problems on the conference Internet connection. Bill William A. Hansen Manta Technologies Inc.
