Regarding spring COMMON.

There's a lot of speculation in the press that COMMON will go to one
conference per year, with NOLA forcing it's hand. IMHO, if COMMON were to
change, no one should force their hand.

Currently (this week) IBM is on an 18 month cycle between releases, which
means that every third COMMON is strategic for IBM. If COMMON were to go
to one conference per year, this might be bad for IBM.

In all likelihood (if you believe what you read) spring COMMON will be a
biggie (a technical term) for IBM.
