Thanks Ken. Has this always been the case? My boss and I both remembered
being able to do the conditional override without wrecking the first.

It's probably been that way since the S/38.

Remember that total override replacement happens only for a second override of the same file at the SAME call level.

Ignoring activation groups, OVRSCOPE, and SECURE(*YES), if the two overrides are at DIFFERENT call levels, they merge together. If a parameter is specified on both overrides, the value on the override at the outer level is the one which is used.
