Walden, If those BIFs do not work, then you canfiddle with the %XLATE BIF as well. With XLATE you can format a character string any way you like, even with punctuation. I use it to convert dates like ABCDEFGH (date1) EFGH-CD-AB (date2) Date1:Format1 XLATE Format2 Date2 (I know I could use date fields to do this, but getting it from a numeric field on to the screen, this was a little easier to do.)
