The one we have does not have a special interface/software. We wrote a CL 
program that basically monitors for CPF1816 and waits 90 minutes and then 
monitors for CPF1817, then ends subsystems.

I was somewhat curious about this also, does a UPS need a special
interface/software to interact with the i5/iseries or can a standard
server-grade UPS with serial connectivity be used?  I'm mostly concerned
with the 520 sized boxes since you'd probably want a more integrated
solution for the larger ones, anyhow.
