Yeah that's right, from what I gather the US section did manage to put a very pretty spinning globe on the front screen but little else. The UK section did listen part way and then it seems that the rest of the time was spent making up excuses as to why it didn't work. In my experience I find there is no substitute for speaking to the "shop floor" in these matters, as a lot of managers only know the basics of what is done in their departments, a lot don't even know that, and often I have seen them get in temporary consultants to act as go betweens and who then start a "Chinese whispers" chain which also ends up in errors and frustration.
