Terry, However, I don't see any way to capture what, if anything, is being sent > back to the iSeries. If you use RUNRMTCMD instead of STRPCCMD, the output is placed in a spool file. By using an OVRPRTF to place that on hold, you could then CPYSPLF or whatever to interrogate the output. RUNRMTCMD would require the PC to be running a REXEC deamon thouugh, and you'd have to grab the current PC's IP address to pass to RUNRMTCMD. Client Access comes with a REXEC deamon, or you could use a third party one. It just isn't installed and running by default. Doug
