Although it is easier to restore en masse in WDSC, I have found a nice feature in PC5250 for pasting - it is PasteNext. When you have lots of lines to paste in SEU, just make sure you use the line commands to get the expected number of blanks lines. Then use the normal paste for the first page, then page down and use PasteNext for each succeeding page.

There is an analogous Copy feature - CopyAppend.

These can be time and life savers.

Another option is to use Windows Explorer.

Hi All List Readers and Writters,

On Monday I managed to fat finger a COBOL source member and deleted. Then I
get told by the operations group at a client's site that it would be Friday
before they could do a restore. Fortunately I had a good compile listing in
a spool file and because I had to get this program completed for a release I
restored the program the member using the cut and paste approach using
iSeries Access. Lots of work and I kept thinking that in the pass that I had
used either a tool or a method to do a similar task but it been a long time
since I have had to do it and I have forgotten the details. Can anyone fill
in the details for me or point me to a tool to do such a task.

I tried posting this question from my clients site but Midrange wouldn't
accept it. We do learn something new everyday.
