Larry, In defense of my character (such as it is), I make the following confessions: 1) I was not a member of the iSeries development team that made this happen (I moved to eServer security development before this project was funded) 2) I was trying to give credit where credit was due, by pointing out Garry Sullivan's e-mail address on the web-page I referenced. It just goes to show that no good deed goes unpunished ;-) I couldn't agree more with your comment about what this means. It means the system is designed to meet the requirements specified in the "target of evaluation" and that proof of this design and implementation was documented and evaluated according to EAL 4 requirements. It does not mean that the mere act of storing your data on the system means that it is protected.
