Bob, I'm not sure how to handle that :( In my CL program, I use this method to throw messages back to the screen to indicate progress until the CL has completed its job. It works great providing you do *not* hit the Enter key during a long process. (Note this is just a utility to dump output to workfiles and then read and process the results). Sounds like you need a way to inhibit keyboard entry to prevent someone from hitting a function/enter key. Sorry, at the moment I can't think of a way to do this in straight up CL/DDS without stopping the progress of the CL job.
