Good point about the blandness. If my boss wanted to send employees on a (his term) "compu-cruise" he send them to a conference on San Marcos island or some such place (which he never has). And I believe that one or two of the conferences always tries to use a venue like this. Their logic that there are actually some bosses out there who cannot sneak past senior management a pleasure trip for a reward to an employee for a job well done, but can justify an "educational" conference.
