We need to see the exact statements - file on the source system should never get cleared when using a PUT. Another - I prefer NAMEFMT 1 for transferring SAVFs - you can use the .savf extension and the system will make sure you are actually using a SAVF on both ends.

So please show us the commands you are using - obviously conceal any specific names as needed.
