performance data collection mechanism (aka Collection Services) is part of operating system and does not reqiure additional products. Collection Services can be managed from iSeries Navigator GUI - look for Collection Services options in menus. You can also manage it via APIs: http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/iseries/v5r2/ic2924/info/apis/perfmgmt_colsvc1.htm Most common APIs you will need are "start collector", "end collector", "cycle collector".
