I guess we'll leave it at this.  The problem, while not apocryphal, was
certainly exaggerated.  IBM is sending someone out to try to identify an
intermittent failure under heavy load in a fairly new product.  Oh
horrors.

That in and of itself shows you the difference between the companies and
their software development philosophies.  If Microsoft sent out a
developer every time there was an intermittent failure in Windows,
Redmond would be a ghost town.  I can just picture it: it would be like
one of those Geek Squad commercials, with Microsoft developers doing
parachute drops all over the world.  The only difference is they'd be
landing in Lexus's and Hummers rather than VW Bugs <g>.
