My GSM 650 has been pretty stable. I have had PPC based smart phones and
they were much less stable than the Palm. I just test drove a Sony Ericsson
P910a Smartphone running the Symbian OS, and the OS really was exceptionally
stable. But there are not nearly the same number of apps out there for
Symbian as there are for Palm (ok, here the AS400 tie in), I really wanted
to use the p910a so I compromised in using Mocha's generic VT220 terminal
emulator to connect to my 400 from the phone. I could not find a Symbian
app for 5250 ANWHERE, pay or free. The Mocha product worked ok, but not as
well as their 5250 emulator for the palm. My P is for sale on eBay if
anyone is interested.. PM me for details.

Yeah, to the list I'm sorry for straying OT.

The 650's stylus tip can be used as the resetter without unscrewing the tip.
The new tradeoff, though, is that the reset hole is under the battery cover
so you still can't do it easily or, really, one-handed.

Feel free to send other Treo questions to me off-list. You can also d/l the
user guide for the 650 & your carrier, if you start at

The stylus unscrews to create the resetter so carrying the paper clip is
optional - been there a few times for sure. 650 any better? (Probably
straying from the midrange-l stuff. So I better keep the thread to the
emulation problem.)

Rob,

FYI...

I have a 600...I recommend getting the leather case with the pouches,
and
putting a paper clip in one of the pouches...next, locate the reset
hole...you're going to be using both of those items on a regular
basis....my damn 600 reminds me of windows in the OLD days...
