I get a kick out of this. Replace a few words and phrases, and you get this: Why would an enterprise decide to use Windows instead of an iSeries to store their business logic? The cost per employee using an iSeries server must be a tiny fraction of what that employee costs the employer per year. Using an iSeries server will increase the productivity of the employee because the data is more accessible, has more tools for the programmer to develop with, is more secure, more reliable, easier to backup and costs less to maintain. (Note that you can still use Windows to develop your thick client applications if you so desire, you just don't store your database and business logic there.) Joe
