We are just getting around to an actual hotsite. We have a generator big enough to run the building. And it is fed by a natural gas pipeline. Turns out that a large generator can suck a sizeable LP tank dry in a day or two. Our new hotsite will be close enough that we negotiated a sweet deal with a telephone company to trench fiber all the way to it (in return for use of our wireless towers), but far enough that it should be out of tornado range (about 20 miles). We decided that if the computer is running on generator, it would be nice to run the air conditioning units prior to a total meltdown, and we should have power so that people could flood the building with PC's to do data entry. The building is under occupied right now. Rob Berendt
