The toaster oven and the sack of concrete I bought at Home Depot last week must be inherently similar as well. If I'm discussing construction concepts certainly issues about the quality of the toast should be considered. Since my car's engine and struts show up when I open the hood, discussions about fuel efficiency should be wide open to comments about ride. Over time I had been buying pieces of a modular bookshelf/entertainment system at IKEA until they discontinued the black shelving. These guys are just like IBM and Microsoft! Just because the RPG compiler is a licensed software product does not mean that TSM gains relevance in a discussion of development environments and obsolescence in software/application development. I always love it when Joe jumps up on a soapbox -- because you never know what's gonna come flying at him.
