Since going to v5r3, the system is throwing a:

EUVF06014E  Unable to obtain initial credentials. 
          Status 0X96C73A9A -
          Unable to locate security server.


The explanation is:

Explanation: The kinit command is unable to obtain initial 
credentials from the Kerberos security server.

User Response: Ensure the security server is operational 
and the correct password is entered. Contact your service 
representative if the error persists. 

We are not using Kerberos for SSO and don't have a 
Kerberos security server, so I am not surprised
that the iSeries cannot find it.

What do I need to not start at IPL to stop this 
message?  Some TCP/IP server, I'm guessing,
but which one?
