You might try using an ovrprtf for your printer file similar to the following
OVRPRTF FILE(QSYSPRT) DEV(&PRTDEV) PAGESIZE(*N 198) +
CPI(15) PRTQLTY(*DEVD) OUTQ(&PRTDEV))
This is an example, but the parm you are interested in is the ... PRTQLTY(*DEVD)
... this might solve your problem.
The other parms are whatever you may need, and they may also be useful in
setting your width and such.
