Understood... just never remembered getting some of those messages before. I think i'll do them on a media order anyway so that I can load them as a group with one command... thanks! rob@xxxxxxxxx Sent by: midrange-l-bounce To s@xxxxxxxxxxxx Midrange Systems Technical Discussion <midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> 06/06/2005 12:22 cc PM Subject Re: Ordering PTFs for next version Please respond to Midrange Systems Technical Discussion <midrange-l@midra nge.com> PTF's come across in a save file. The file was saved on a V5R3 machine with TGTRLS(*CURRENT). You cannot do a DSPSAVF on a save file from a system that is more current than yours. Shouldn't be a problem since you will upgrade to V5R3 prior to you actually using the save file. You should be able to do a LODPTF from that save file and apply it after you upgrade to V5R3. In the future I recommend using Fix Central versus SNDPTFORD. This will allow you to get an entire CUME, group ptf's and any individual ptf's you want into one or more virtual drives. Really kicks butt. And your internet connection may be significantly faster than your SNDPTFORD connection. http://www-912.ibm.com/eserver/support/fixes/fcgui.jsp Rob Berendt -- Group Dekko Services, LLC Dept 01.073 PO Box 2000 Dock 108 6928N 400E Kendallville, IN 46755 http://www.dekko.com ChadB@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent by: midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx 06/06/2005 10:51 AM Please respond to Midrange Systems Technical Discussion <midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To Midrange Systems Technical Discussion <midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> cc Subject Ordering PTFs for next version I know i've ordered individual PTFs before for the 'next' version that i'm preparing for, but I don't remember running into these messages... any thoughts?
