Yes. You just set the backup control groups for the big libraries to use a parallel backup. Of course, if you have to restore in a decent way, you have to mount all the backup tape in the same way. BRMS handles this problem very well. Unfortunately (at least for the V4R5 where we have this kind of setup), you cannot backup in parallel ways other things that single libraries. For example, you cannot have a *NONSYS backup using parallel backup. I don't have yet use such a setup in V5Rx so may be it is possible.
