Al, I think that's because summer is so short up there they give them the whole week off. We tried to send some poor sob off to WAS training up there. Turned out they could never fill a class in January and kept cancelling the class - go figure. Jim, We are using TSM (which is the IBM product you paid for when you bought the enterprise package) to back up other servers and clients to our i5 disk and tape. And, yes, it will drive a couple of tape drives at the same time, like both drives in one 3582. I bet BRMS (which I think also comes with the Enterprise Package - along with some training vouchers) will do it for what you want to do. Failing that, you could break it up by object. Bear to restore but doable. We have a library where each of the objects is several gig. We fill up a data queue with size descending and two different tape drives read that data queue and do a SAVOBJ. When the first job gets the *END dummy data queue record it dies. When the second job gets nothing, it restarts the process that was stopped to start the backup. Rob Berendt
