I never could get the iSeries Navigator stuff to work with this either. 
And every time I opened a pmr with IBM they tried to send me over to 
Consult Line because they are peddling a product to do this for you.  I 
"think" the price was $900.  Another hidden cost of obsolescence I guess - 
pay $900 for something that comes free with V5R3.  I think someone on the 
list had a program that might do this for you.
