Option 1 is good, but on a PC you run the risk that someone could close the window. 2. It is possible to create a sign-on display file which has the user-id and password hard-coded, protected, and non-display so that all the user has to do is press Enter. You have to be creative to do this and still keep the record format correct, but I did many years ago and it is possible. I really like option 2. This would have to be in it's own interactive subsystem, but this is a great solution.
