Without resorting to RUNSQLSTM with > dynamic updates to the source file. Hi Mike Have a look at http://dbg400.net/excsql.html for a simple CL command to run dynamically generated SQL. It's just a wrapper round STRQMQRY which runs a QM query that only consists of replacement variables. I use in just the same situation you describe. Regards, Martin
