RE: news400 goes negative on IBM?

simple.  Most shoppes today are very hetereogeneous in systems and
database.  It's not uncommon to see DB2/Oracle/Access/.net/SQL_Server all
in the same shoppe or a combo thereof...and with it the need to talk back
and forth in a realtime modality.   Capice?  Also, more and more shoppes
will tell you that their current new development efforts are in
.net/windows/etc and that they use DB2/400 as a backend database
server....tell you anything about trends?

Well, let's see, as for selling iSeries/i5/4i/as400...IBM IS now listed on
the NY board as a services company as I recall.....
