RE: SQL Select From IFS file

The IFS is not a part of the database, so SQL cannot access that data.  You
would need to import it into the QSYS file system, which implicitly makes it
a database table.  

For Q&D, use Client Access File transfer and click on the "Create AS/400
Database file" button (far right).  This wizard will analyze the data and
create a file to match the data format.  After you go through the wizard,
don't forget to click on the "Transfer data" button to actually send the
data to the new file....

I want to do a Select * from /MYIFSFOLDER/MYIFSFILE on a text file
sitting in my IFS from the Run SQL Scripts window in iSeries Navigator.
Is there a way to do this?
