I always like anyone referring to a TAA Tool, however, I think that the
intent of the original question was to determine what was the default
parameter from the command definition object. This tool goes after the
source. What it would show is what the coded default was. Any change to
the command via the Change Command Default (CHGCMDDFT) command would not be
determinable.

There is a command in Taatools that can be used in a program to retrieve
information about a command (RTVCMDPARM), this will show you the
information you want. Display and print the commands help to know what
the structure of the data retrieved is.

Subject: Command Parameter Default Value

Is it possible to retrieve the default value of a command parameter? If
is there is one such API or CL command, that would be really useful to
me.

TIA,
Ganesh
