Just a heads-up to those of you using the new V5R3 feature to open a window for mail relaying following a pop3 logon, you could bring the SMTP server to a halt if you've got lots of users logged on. The symptom is that sending mail can take several minutes, which is enough to timeout most e-mail clients. If you do a netstat for port 25 you'll see all the mail jobs just hanging there. In our case, several hundred mail ports occupied with almost no activity.
I've been working this problem with IBM Support for the past two weeks, and the only resolution so far is to disable the POP3 window. No ptf's available yet.
